Robb Report, Nylon Magazine, Alternative Press and Wallpaper Magazine
Magazine
- The Robb Report
is a luxury lifestyle magazine, featuring products for affluent connoisseurs, such as cars, watches, and real estate. It was originally started by Robert White as a magazine to complement the purchase of a Rolls-Royce automobile. Robb Report also suggests travel plans, routinely mentioning many wealthy communities including Mission Viejo, Beverly Hills, La Jolla, Scottsdale, Palm Beach, and Greenwich.
- Nylon Magazine
is an American magazine that focuses on pop culture and fashion. Its coverage includes art, beauty, music, design, celebrities, technology and travel. The name Nylon derives from the magazine’s often featured articles on “self-willed sibling-cities New York and London”. Nylon was co-founded by ex-Ray Gun publishers Marvin Scott Jarrett & Jaclynn Jarrett, Ray Gun Editorial Director Mark Blackwell, American entrepreneur Mic Neumann, and supermodel Helena Christensen. Christensen is no longer involved with the magazine. Past cover models have included: Christina Aguilera, Mary-Kate Olsen, Rachel Bilson, Scarlett Johansson, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, The White Stripes, Nicole Richie, and Lindsay Lohan. The first person to ever grace the cover of Nylon was Liv Tyler in April 1999.
- Alternative Press
(or commonly referred to on the website and in the magazine as AP) is an American music magazine based in Cleveland, Ohio which primarily focuses on pop punk, post-hardcore, indie rock, ska, hardcore, alternative rock and their attendant sub-genres, providing readers with band interviews, photos, information on upcoming releases, and music charts. It was founded in 1985 by Mike Shea, who is the current president.
- Wallpaper Magazine
(trademarked Wallpaper* with an asterisk) is a Time Inc. magazine focusing on travel, design, entertainment, fashion, and media. The magazine was launched in 1996 by Canadian journalist Tyler Brûlé in London, UK. Brûlé sold the magazine to Time Warner in 1997. He stayed on as editorial director until 2002. 2007 saw the appointment of a new editor-in-chief, Tony Chambers, a self-styled “visual journalist”. Apart from publishing the monthly magazine, Wallpaper also publishes travel guide books. There are 60 different cities currently available, and 20 more will be published by spring 2009. Other notable names who have worked at Wallpaper include Jeremy Langmead, Marcus Von Ackermann, Suzy Hoodless, and Alasdhair Willis.
