Environment Tweeters for Water Crisis

Posted on the January 9th, 2010 under Book, Environment, Social Media by (Beaulife) Altis Lo

Water Crisis Twitters With escalating population and high living standards, water scarcity is hitting the World. Though our planet is blessed with three-fourth water, the irony is, only a small amount can be used for drinking purpose. While some corners of the globe have sufficient ground water supplies, there are places marked by severe water crisis. One of the primary reasons that is often pinpointed as the culprit behind the water shortage is the sudden change in climatic condition.

Our forefathers knew it. Ancient civilization further brings home the point – water is an absolute necessity. With the population increasing at a break-neck speed, artificial farming became inevitable but sources of water supply remained limited. The consequences were therefore quite expected – over drafting of natural ground water led to water scarcity. Miles and miles of land, which were once covered with trees now lie barren – due to deforestation. It’s now our turn to pay the price – face severe water scarcity. Research conducted by non-profit humanitarian organizations like Global Water, highlighted non accessibility of safe drinking water to be the chief cause of hunger, poverty and disease throughout the world.

Without hesitations, let’s contribute to conserve our precious water resource. Become followers to the Twitters below and learn about how we can make a difference:

Easy Personal Finance: 5 Yes! And 4 No!

Posted on the December 23rd, 2009 under Book, Investment, Savings, Retirement, Software by (Beaulife) Altis Lo

YES! Invest your money on different financial products, stocks, bonds etc. It is important to make your savings grow along time in order to beat inflation and let your money work for you rather than you working for your money.

NO! Do not let your money stand still because currency loses value with time and thus, the same amount that would let your purchase a yacht today will not serve the same purpose in the future. Inflation may not be that high but if you let the money stand still it can lose half of its value in as little as ten years due to inflation.

Lego Star Wars History And Collectibles

Posted on the November 25th, 2009 under Book, Family And Kids, Game by (Beaulife) Altis Lo

Lego Star Wars has quite the interesting history when it comes to the fact that the game entertains children everywhere. It all stems from the popular plastic building blocks that can be used to build cars, space ships, buildings, and whatever a child’s imagination can think up. Anyone under the age of 60 has most likely played with Legos, so that means that many of the children playing with them today have grandparents who once used their imaginations to do the same exact thing.
