Free Download Manager is my favorite freeware which I have been using since 2005. And I never bother about the new version because its Version 2.5 has never failed. Now it is Version 3.0.

The great features which I have been enjoying are:

Adjusting traffic usage is a breeze under limited bandwidth of broadband.
Simultaneous download is also supported, allowing less files to download under slow connection, or more downloads for faster connection.
Small program size, so never slow down even under very limited RAM (Random Access Memory).
Historical records of downloaded links, save precious bandwidth and avoid redundant downloads.
Schedule download and even resume broken downloads.
Best of the best, it is free of charge.
