(BestBuyIdea.com) Earth Hour 2009
On 28th March 2009, Saturday, between 8:30pm and 9:30pm (Malaysia time), we, at BestBuyIdea.com, are supporting the Earth Hour campaign by switching off all our lights for one hour. This is the world’s largest global climate change event, when we do our part to join tens of millions of concerned citizens throughout the world in calling for action to save our planet for future generations.

(BestBuyIdea.com) Malaysia's FD versus Inflation Rate
Chart is really useful, in terms of comparison and presentation of numbers. From the chart of Malaysia’s fixed deposit rates (for 1-month and 12-month) versus inflation rate (or CPI, i.e. consumer price index), there are some critical findings to be shared below:
(1).
2008 was the historical worst year in the past 30 years, that we actually lost all our savings, as the inflation rate is higher than our fixed deposits. The loss is 1.7% when the 12-month FD rate was 3.7% and the inflation rate was 5.4%.
(2).
In year 1998, the FD rates of 1-month & 12-month and inflation rate were quite close, we still had a return of 0.4% when we compared 12-month FD rate with inflation rate.
(3).
We still had good return in year 1988, when the 12-month FD rate was 4.3% and the inflation rate was only 2.5%.

WIMAX Forum Logo
You could have heard about the Malaysia first WIMAX launched by
P1, but getting frustrated for the limited coverage area for wireless broadband.
Now, it’s time to vote for the next coverage area, just to click here. For the citizens (like me) who are staying in the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia, or Johor, from any towns, please actively vote for the new coverage area, so that P1 knows where to roll out the WIMAX service.
The success of our next generation (wireless) broadband service is as easy as only a click.
Cheers!

The lifestyle in Johor Bahru has been further delighted with the visit of Honda ASIMO between 20th and 23rd of November 2008 at City Square.
ASIMO, an acronym for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, is the world’s first humanoid robot that was happily to showcase its abilities in Malaysia during a road show. This road show was brought to us by Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The road show in Johor Bahru City Square had created much delights to me, although I only knew it on the 23rd of November 2008, which was the last day in town. My 4-year-old son was very excited to have watched a robot with his 6-year-old sister and parents. It was started 20 minutes later than the scheduled time, I guessed it was due to the battery charging time. ASIMO needs 4 hours to fully charge the battery for 1 hour’s activities.

It’s a noble urge to recycle a mobile phone, battery or charge of any brand and make/model. Not only we do our little bit to conserve our mother earth, and green our environment for our next generations, we can also adopt a tree. In addition, the tree can be planted in our name and the growth of the tree can be monitored any time, anywhere, with Google Earth.
